The Poos Collection is one of the largest privately held quilt and textile collections in the world. This collection includes antique quilts with an emphasis on pre-1860 quilts. During Lori’s lecture, you’ll go on a journey to learn about the history of Turkey Red dye, why Christmas is now associated with this color combination, and where the color combination originated. The antique quilts you’ll see are all from the 19th century when Turkey Red was at its zenith.
