What if I already have a C&T Publishing account?

If you had an account on C&T Publishing’s website before our new site launch on March 18, 2025, you’ll need to reset your password before logging in for the first time.

How to Reset Your Password:

  1. Click this link to begin the reset process.
  2. Enter the email associated with your account.
  3. Check your inbox for a password reset email (if you don’t see it, check your Junk or Spam folder).
  4. Follow the instructions in the email to set a new password.

Once updated, you’ll be able to log in and explore our new site!

What happens to my Creative Spark account?

Your Creative Spark courses are now accessible on ctpub.com, but your account is not being transferred—it is being merged into the new system. How you log in will depend on your existing account status:

If you ONLY have a Creative Spark account:

  • You will receive an email prompting you to create a new password for ctpub.com.
  • After setting your password, log in to your C&T Publishing account using the same email address you used for Creative Spark.
  • To access your courses, go to your Account Page and click “My Courses.” This will take you to your Course Dashboard, where all your previously purchased courses will be available.

If you already have a C&T Publishing account:

  • You will receive an email with instructions on accessing your account and resetting your password. See the instructions in the section above to reset your password.
  • Once logged in, go to your Account Page, click “My Courses,” and access your Course Dashboard to find your previously purchased courses.

If you have both a C&T Publishing account and a Creative Spark account but used different emails for each:

  • Your accounts will not merge automatically since they have different emails.
  • Please contact customer support at ctinfo@ctpub.com so we can manually link your accounts.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

  • Click on the User Profile icon titled “Sign In”(a simple person silhouette in the upper right corner of the website). 
  • Click “Forgot your password?
  • Enter the email associated with your account and click “Submit”

Accessing Courses

Will I lose access to my Creative Spark courses?

No, you will not lose access to your courses. However, you will now access your Course Dashboard through the Account Page on ctpub.com.

How do I access my courses on the new website?

  • Log into your Account on ctpub.com
  • Go to your Account Page
  • Click “My Courses” to open your Course Dashboard
  • From there, select the course you want to watch and click “Start Course” (or “Resume Course”) to continue learning.

Can I start where I left off in my courses?

Yes! Your progress is saved, so you can pick up right where you left off by clicking “Resume Course” on the course you want to continue.

Account & Login

How do I log in?

If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot your password?” on the login page to request a reset link.

How can I view my orders?

You can find all your orders on your Account page.

  • For orders placed between January 1st, 2024 through March 18th, 2025: Books & products can be found under "Order History" on your account page. Courses can be accessed by clicking on "My Courses" on your account page.
  • For orders placed after March 18th, 2025: Orders can be found in your Account under "Order History"
  • For orders placed before 2024, please reach out to customer service at ctinfo@ctpub.com

How do I view my Wishlist?

Click the heart icon in the top right corner of any page to view or edit your Wishlist.

How can I update my shipping address?

Log in to your account, go to View Addresses, and update your shipping information.

Placing Orders

Why doesn’t my coupon apply to the courses in my cart?

When you purchase a course, you’re not just learning—you’re directly supporting artists, makers, and creatives, helping them continue to share their knowledge and passion with the world. Our Creative Spark courses are not eligible for discounts as part of our contractual agreements with instructors, ensuring they receive fair compensation for the time, skill, and creativity they invest. 

What does it mean when my book is listed as POD (Print on Demand)?

A Print-on-Demand (POD) book is printed only after you place your order. Please allow up to two additional weeks for delivery.

Key differences from original printing:

  • Matte finish paper may cause colors to appear slightly more saturated.
  • Patterns are included at the end of the book or available via a download link printed inside the POD edition.
  • POD books ship separately from in-stock items.
  • ALL POD SALES ARE FINAL.

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes. We are required by law to collect sales tax for customers in California, where C&T Publishing has a physical presence. The current combined tax rate in Concord, CA, is 9%.

Shipping & Delivery

When will my order arrive?

Orders ship from National Booksellers Network in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, within 5-7 business days. You can track your order status from your Account Page.

How are Canadian orders shipped?

Canadian orders ship via Canpar, which does not deliver to PO boxes.

How can I track my order?

To track your order:

  1. Log into your Account Page or access it by 
  2. Navigate to Order History to check tracking details.
  3. If you need further assistance, contact us at ctinfo@ctpub.com.

Order Issues & Returns

Why did I only receive part of my order?

Orders can take up to 14 days to arrive. If something is missing, check the following:

  • Order History – Make sure you didn’t accidentally order an eBook instead of a physical book.
  • Pre-Orders – Some items haven’t been released yet and will ship when available. Check your email confirmation.
  • Print-on-Demand (POD) books – These ship separately and can take up to two weeks longer.

What should I do if my purchase arrives damaged?

We know how frustrating this can be! Please contact us at ctinfo@ctpub.com with your order details and photos of the damage, and we’ll make it right.

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel an order, email us at ctinfo@ctpub.com as soon as possible.

***Note: Once an order has been processed, it cannot be canceled.

What is your return policy on books and products?

If you're not completely satisfied, you have 10 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • To request a refund, email ctinfo@ctpub.com.

I bought a course by mistake. Can I get a refund?

Refund policies depend on the type of course:

  • Self-Directed Courses: If unwatched, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase.
  • Live Courses: Refunds are available only if the event is more than 30 days away from the refund request date.

Digital Products: eBooks, Free Patterns & Downloads

How do I access my eBook or Free Pattern?

You should have received an email with a link to your Digital Downloads, but you can also access your Digital Downloads anytime from your account page.

  1. Log into your Account Page
  2. Navigate to Order History and locate the order with the Digital Download.
  3. Click the "Download" link on the right hand side of that order to access your downloads.
  4. If you need further assistance, contact us at ctinfo@ctpub.com.

Finding Downloadable Patterns in Books and ebooks

In an effort to be more eco-friendly, C&T Publishing has transitioned from pull-out patterns in books to digital downloads. This allows you to print only the patterns you need, reducing paper waste. There are two ways to access the pattern files:

1. Using a TinyURL

  • Locate the TinyURL (a short web address) provided in your book.
  • Type the TinyURL into your browser’s address bar and press Enter.
  • Your digital pattern will open. You can print it directly or download it for later use.

2. Using a QR Code

  • Open the camera app on your smartphone.
  • Aim the camera at the QR code provided in your book (no need to take a picture).
  • A notification will appear—tap the link to access your pattern.

Printing Your Downloadable Pattern

  • Patterns are available in 8.5” x 11” (A4/US Letter) format for at-home printing.
  • Larger patterns include a copyshop format for professional printing.
  • To ensure correct sizing, print at 100% scale (not "Fit to Page").
  • Patterns include a 1” registration mark—measure this to confirm accuracy.

Creative Spark: On-Demand Courses

What is a Creative Spark course?

Creative Spark courses bring expert instructors from their studio to yours, offering an immersive and engaging learning experience. Whether it’s a one-day workshop or a multi-session deep dive, you can explore new techniques, refine your skills, and learn at your own pace—all from the comfort of home. Many courses go beyond standard lessons, offering interactive opportunities such as exclusive student groups, live virtual meet-ups with instructors, and Q&A sessions with direct feedback.

How long do I have to access my course?

  • Courses do not expire (unless noted next to the purchase button—this is rare!).
  • Free courses are available for one year

How do I find the course I purchased?

To access your courses, log into your account and click on My Courses. This will take you to your dashboard, where all your purchased courses are stored. Simply click on the course you want to start or continue.

Can I download Creative Spark courses onto my computer? 

Videos cannot be downloaded, but you can download course materials that have the download button.

How do I download the eBooks, patterns, and other included course materials? 

To download your course materials, click the download button located at the bottom of the lesson that contains the file. On some devices, a second window may open, requiring you to manually download the file by clicking the box with a downward arrow. If you don’t see the file immediately, check your Downloads folder.

Are the courses closed-caption?

  • Virtual Live Events from 2024 onward include closed captions in recordings.
  • On-demand courses do not currently have captions, but we hope to offer this feature soon.

What if I have a question for my instructor or fellow student?

Each course includes a discussion board where you can ask questions and interact with instructors and peers. Discussion boards are located in each lesson.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Creative Spark is not a subscription service. Each course or event is a one-time purchase with no recurring fees.

Technical Support

How do I view the course video in full screen?

Click the full-screen icon at the bottom right of the video player. To exit full-screen mode, click the same icon again.

Are there any system requirements to view the video content?

For the best experience, we recommend:

  • A computer (manufactured within the last few years)
  • A strong broadband internet connection (avoid dial-up)
  • Using an updated web browser (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox)
  • A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or larger

Can I access the video content from my mobile device?

Yes! Most smartphones and tablets with an internet connection can stream Creative Spark courses.

Can I teach a class on Creative Spark?

We are always looking for talented instructors! To learn more about submitting a course proposal, visit the Book/Product/Course Submissions page in the footer of our website.

Creative Spark: Virtual Live Events

What is the difference between a Live Event and an On-Demand Course?

- On-demand courses are pre-recorded and available for purchase anytime. You can watch them immediately and have lifetime access.

- Live Events take place on a scheduled date via Zoom and typically feature:

  • Multiple instructors
  • Breakout rooms
  • Giveaways and interactive sessions
  • A recorded replay will be available after the event

Before the Event

What do I need to do to prepare?

  • Log into your Account and click on My Courses. This will take you to your Course Dashboard. Find the event course and click “Start (or Resume) Course”  to access event materials, session details, and instructor information.
  • Install the latest version of Zoom on your computer or smart device for the best experience.

What supplies do I need?

No supplies are required! Just bring yourself (and maybe a notebook if you'd like to take notes).

How do I choose my breakout sessions?

You don’t need to sign up in advance! During the event, a live poll will let you choose your breakout session. You can switch sessions at any time, and staff will be available to help.

During & After the Event

How do I join the Live Event?

Live Events are hosted on Zoom.

Where do I find the Zoom link?

The Zoom link and passcode (if required) will be posted on the first page of your event course 24 hours before the event. You will also receive an email reminder with the Zoom link the day before and again a few hours before the event.

Do I have to attend the entire event?

No! Your enrollment includes lifetime access to the recordings, so you can join live when it works for you or watch later at your convenience. Attendees are welcome to come and go throughout the event.

Can I switch breakout rooms during the event?

Yes! Click the “Leave Breakout Room” button to return to the main session, where a staff member will help you switch to a different room OR ask the Room Moderator in the chat for a switch.

What if I accidentally leave the entire LIVE event? 

No worries! Just click the Zoom invite link again to rejoin the session.

How do I access the recordings?

 We upload recordings within 24-48 hours of the event. You’ll receive an email notification once they’re available in your Event Course.

How long do I have access to the Live Event recordings?

Recordings never expire—watch them anytime! Find them in your Event Course on your Course Dashboard.

Where do I find the Virtual Swag Bag and Special Sale Link?

In your Live Event course menu, under the “Welcome” section, click "Virtual Swag & Special Sale." The sale link is available for a few days after the event.

Corrections/Errata

How do I know if a pattern has been corrected?

We strive for accuracy in all our products, but occasionally, updates, clarifications, or corrections are needed. If you suspect an issue, visit the product page and look for the Corrections tab.

How do I report an error?

If you find an issue, please email our Errata Team at errata@ctpub.com so they can investigate. Be sure to include:

  • The full title of the book
  • The page numbers in question
  • A detailed description of the error

A team member will respond with an update or clarification as soon as possible.

Can I order wholesale?

Copyright & Usage Permissions

How do I get permission to use a pattern from an author in a quilt show?

You do not need permission to enter a quilt in a show or exhibition, but you must credit the author and book as the original source. To comply with copyright guidelines, please attach a label to the quilt and include proper credit in any submission paperwork. Use the following format:

  • Quilt Name, from Book Title, by Author's Name.
  • Design by [Author/Designer Name] from the book [Book Title], published by C&T Publishing.

Written permission is not required, but some show organizers may request it. If needed, you may print this document as proof. We’d also love to see your work—share it on social media using @ctpublishing, and we may feature it!

Can I sell items I make using C&T Publishing books and patterns?

Items made from our patterns are for personal use only and cannot be sold. All patterns are protected under copyright. Our authors and designers invest significant time and effort into their work, and reproducing or selling projects from our books violates copyright law.

Teaching with C&T Publications

Can I use a C&T book to teach a class?

Yes! You are welcome to use a C&T publication as a teaching resource, but each student must own or purchase their own copy. Reproducing or copying any pages from our books is not permitted due to copyright policies.

Can I photocopy pages from a C&T book for my students?

No. To protect the rights of our authors and designers, photocopying or distributing pages from our books is not allowed. Each student should have their own copy.

Can my students receive a discount on the book?

We may offer a teacher discount for bulk book purchases on a case-by-case basis. To inquire about potential discounts, please email us at ctinfo@ctpub.com.

How can I request a donation for my event or Guild?

To request a donation, please email ctinfo@ctpub.com with details about your event or guild. We will gladly review your request. Please do not mail in requests.

Kraft-Tex FAQs

Is kraft-tex recyclable? 

Kraft-Tex is made from cellulose (paper) pulp, a synthetic latex binder, and dye. It can be recycled with the proper defibering technology; however, due to its durability and washable properties, it requires more processing than standard paper products like newsprint or magazines. Please check with your local recycling facility to confirm whether they can process kraft-Tex.

How do I learn more about kraft-tex?

We have a lot of free resources to help you on your kraft-tex journey:

Is kraft-tex acid-free? 

Kraft-tex is not archival-grade paper, but with a pH level typically between 6.0-6.8, it may qualify as "acid-free" or "neutral pH".

Archival standards suggest that:

  • Acid-free papers (pH 5.5 or higher) last up to 50 years.
  • Archival-grade papers (pH 7.5-8.5 with at least 2% calcium carbonate) can last over 100 years.

Since kraft-tex does not meet full archival standards, it is best to use it for projects that do not require museum-grade longevity.


Does kraft-tex contain PVC? 

We do not manufacture the kraft-tex ourselves,  but it is composed of wood pulp and synthetic rubber polymer. If you have specific concerns about material content, we recommend reviewing the testing data HERE and HERE before use.  

Can Kraft-Tex be used with a Laser printer? 

Laser printers use a toner and heat roller system to fuse the print onto paper. Since kraft-tex is 0.55mm thick, many laser printers cannot accommodate its weight, which may cause printing issues such as ghost images, jams, or incomplete fusing. Our best results have been with inkjet printers, which handle kraft-tex more effectively.


Does Kraft-Tex have a "grain"? 

No, kraft-tex does not have a grain, but the two sides are slightly different due to the manufacturing process. One side is smoother, as it rests on a mesh screen during production.


What’s the difference between Unwashed vs. Prewashed Kraft-tex? 

Unwashed Kraft-Tex is in its original state—firm and smooth, with a leather-like feel.

Prewashed Kraft-Tex has been softened and crinkled, making it easier to sew and work with while still maintaining its strength and durability.
