Teach with Us: Online Courses & Virtual Events

On-Demand Courses – Share Your Expertise, Anytime, Anywhere

Welcome to Creative Spark, C&T Publishing’s premier online learning platform for crafts. Before you submit a proposal, we want to explain what makes a course successful and how we support you throughout the process.

1. We handle all platform management and development, including:

  • Course landing pages & polished descriptions
  • Course builder support & pre-launch review
  • Customer support & payment management

2. We provide timely monthly payouts, targeted marketing, social media promotions, and email campaigns to bring students to your courses.

3. Our in-house course builders will help turn your concept into a polished class, with flexible delivery options and the level of student interaction you choose. Best of all, our generous revenue share ensures your hard work is well-rewarded.

4. Creating an online course is a significant commitment—even for seasoned instructors. Thoughtfully adapting your in-person classes to a dynamic video format takes time and planning, but we’re here to help you every step of the way!

The Nuts & Bolts: What You Need to Know Before Submitting a Proposal

Time Commitment: Creating and building a course requires approximately 20–40 hours, and you are prepared to invest that time in developing your content.

Content Creation: You are responsible for planning, preparing, recording, and editing your videos. Before building your course on the platform, you must edit, compress, and upload them. Course-building tutorials and support cohorts are provided to guide you through the process.

Intellectual Property Rights: C&T Publishing contracts non-exclusive rights to host your course, and you retain ownership of your content. However, pre-existing publishing agreements (including those with C&T Publishing) may apply if your video content is directly from a book or product. Please contact us with any questions.

Revenue Share: Compensation is based on the time, tasks, and follow-up you commit to the platform. In most cases, instructors handle planning, filming, editing, and uploading their materials, with Creative Spark covering all processing and site fees. The standard revenue share is 50/50. If Creative Spark handles filming, the revenue share is 70/30.

Engagement & Promotion: You are responsible for managing course interactions, community discussions, live events, and promotional commitments as outlined in your contract.

If this all sounds good to you, you’re ready to submit a preliminary proposal/interest form [HERE].

We look forward to working with creative folks like you!

What Are Creative Spark LIVE Events?

Creative Spark LIVE events are virtual, interactive learning experiences featuring top-tier instructors. As an instructor, you can present through live demonstrations, lectures, PowerPoint presentations, or pre-recorded techniques during the keynote, followed by a Q&A session.

What Makes Our Events Unique?

  • Expert Instructors – Learn from the best in quilting, embroidery, sewing, and more.
  • Diverse Presentations – Each event features multiple instructors and breakout sessions.
  • Interactive & Engaging Format – Unlike webinars, these events function as meetings, allowing real-time engagement and discussion.
  • Flexible Viewing – Attendees choose which breakout rooms to watch live and can access recordings of other sessions afterward. (Recordings are not sold after the event date.)

Now in our fourth year, Creative Spark LIVE events continue to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees asking for even more!
