Class Description: Who knew that making a place to stash your books would be so easy? This fun project will have you channeling your inner bookworm in no time! This class is designed for children aged 8 years and up. The students should have a basic knowledge of the sewing machine and should feel comfortable sewing a straight line. This would also be a great beginner or “first” sewing machine project. Children will learn how to rule and cut their own fabric, make fabric choices, learn to pin fabric correctly and will be able to learn the correct way to use an iron. This is a perfect project to allow children to get creative with fabric choices. If your students are a little more advanced, consider introducing simple applique to personalize the pocket.
