Kaffe Fassett

Born in San Francisco, Kaffe settled in England in 1964 and worked as an artist. On a trip to Scotland he stumbled on an irresistible collection of colored yarns. A few months later he was hooked and proceeded to knit and stitch himself a career. In 1996 Kaffe was asked by the charity Oxfam to visit villages in India to advise on designs that could be marketed in the West. A wonderful range of striped fabric was the result.
