Scrappy quilts allow for experimenting with color and breaking into your treasured fabric stash. With scrap quilts, the big question is always, "Am I making the most of my stash?" Take it from quilter and fiber artist Lynn Rinehart who loves her stash so much that her two loyal Saluki hounds know to guard it. This course builds on basic quilting skills with in-depth instruction on making a modern quilt scrappy and developing dynamic color selections. 

Follow along as you use Lynn's Eat Dessert First Quilt pattern (downloadable PDF included in the course) to teach you a variety of skills. The pattern consists of two basic blocks you can use to make two different-sized quilts with both scrappy and solid colorways. First, you'll go over color selection and guidelines for making scrappy quilts. Next, dive into constructing both blocks that make up the Eat Dessert First Quilt, with cutting tips and tricks along the way. Then, explore quilting ideas for domestic and longarm machines and options for binding and labels.
