Valerie Prideaux’s love for quilts and quilting begins and ends with color. Carrying over from her work as a scientific researcher, she is constantly experimenting with creative ideas: always learning, making changes, and trying new things. Inspired by Kaffe Fasset's bright, bold use of pattern and design, Valerie set up a part-time knitting business designing and selling sweater kits for infants and children. As an avid follower of Fasset's quilting career and lover of all things color, Valerie's exploration into the craft naturally fell into place. From the start, she became a fearless quilter playing with color and organized yet simple designs. Valerie ran Quilts at the Creek, an outdoor quilt show, for eight years in Toronto, Canada. She later created QuiltTalk, an online series featuring international quilt professionals, and passed the successful venture to a colleague to focus on quilting. cozyFunkyCool.com
