Tiana Coats began her candlemaking journey when she decided she wanted to pursue a creative career path. Even though she had never made a candle before, she realized candles were something she enjoyed and was regularly using in her life. After months of testing different waxes, wicks, and scents, Tiana started Winding Wick Candles in the spring of 2015. Success was not overnight; it took years of consistent work before Tiana made Winding Wick Candles her full-time career in 2020. Over the years, Tiana has grown a YouTube channel, been featured in major publications, launched a successful candlemaking business course, and has recently opened her first retail candle shop in her hometown.
