    Sharon Boggon, textile artist and educator, trained in the visual arts and is the best-selling author of books on Contemporary Embroidery and Crazy quilting. She earned a Diploma in Fine Arts from Claremont School of Art (Perth), followed by a Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University. She pursued further studies at the Australian National University of Canberra’s School of Art, achieving a Graduate Diploma and later a Master of Arts in Visual Arts. She taught for 12 years in the Textiles Workshop at the Australian National University of Canberra’s School of Art. Sharon Boggon turned her focus to hand embroidery and crazy quilting. Her expertise grew from both academic settings and years of practice. Sharon Boggon's teaching philosophy values playful practice. As creator of PinTangle, a website hosting stitch tutorials, and online stitchers challenges like (TAST) Take A Stitch Tuesday, she encourages stitchers to experiment, discovering new possibilities through hands-on exploration.
