    Melissa has been painting, collaging, and sewing since her teens and has always focused on faces. Her approach is lighthearted, fun, and inclusive. She is a fabric designer, painter , award-winning quilter (Best of Show at QuiltCon 2016 for her quilt My Brother's Jeans. She is also a regular contributor to quilt and craft magazines. She travels nationally to teach her signature class Making Faces with Melissa at quilt shops, guilds and events such as QuiltCon and Craft Napa. Even non-artists feel comfortable experimenting in her workshops. Melissa loves Atomic Fireballs, unicorns, rust, gardening, yoga, thrift shopping, sad songs, snail mail and summertime. She loves heartfelt hugs and is a good listener. She lives on Cape Cod with her adorable husband (Stuart) and their two golden retrievers (Max and Beau).
