    Maddie Kulig

Maddie Kulig is the founder and designer behind Madalynne, a Philadelphia-based lingerie brand offering DIY kits, sewing patterns, workshops and retreats, and ready-made intimates for all people. A college dropout, she began her career at one of the world’s largest fashion brands, working in technical design and patternmaking. Since taking her brand full-time over a decade ago, Maddie has built a business that bridges the worlds of fashion design and craftsmanship—empowering a global community to create beautifully constructed lingerie, no matter their size, race, age, or gender. A Simplicity Patterns licensee, Maddie has designed over ten patterns for the brand, expanding access to lingerie sewing for makers worldwide. She has released two exclusive Madalynne collections with Urban Outfitters, available both in stores and online, and over the past decade, she has taught more than 100 workshops to students eager to learn lingerie design and sewing. Her work has been featured in Martha Stewart, Forbes, Vogue, New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Simply Sewing, and Threads magazines. Maddie’s first book, Sew Lingerie, brings her expert knowledge to home sewists, breaking down the technical process of lingerie making into approachable, confidence-boosting projects. Beyond her studio, Maddie continues to teach in-person and virtual classes and is recognized as a trusted educator in lingerie construction and fit. Through her modern, inclusive approach, she helps makers of all levels create intimate apparel that fits beautifully and feels empowering. She lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and her work can be found at www.madalynne.com
