Katrina Walker’s personal serging adventure began in junior high when her mother bought a serger. Intrigued by the possibilities, Katrina quickly learned how to use the serger to enhance her wardrobe with many pairs of stirrup pants (it was the 80s, after all!) and other fashion items. She bought her own serger as soon as she could afford one. She considers sergers to be essential tools in her professional sewing studio. Katrina’s creations and sewing expertise are featured in many publications, including Threads, Stitch, Sew News, SewStylish, and Creative Machine Embroidery magazines. She regularly teaches at the Houston International Quilt Festival, the Sewing & Stitchery Expo, and other national sewing events and guild conferences. She is also a popular instructor online; her highly-rated classes with Bluprint, Taunton Workshops, BurdaStyle Academy, and Sew Daily TV have enrolled thousands of students worldwide.
