Jo Connolly is a lifelong seamstress and the owner of Garden of Daisies Embroidery. She started her embroidery business nineteen years ago when her daughter’s Irish step-dancing school needed costumes. Her business has evolved from embroidery and dressmaking to designing, digitizing, teaching, and writing about embroidery. In 2006, she won Stitches magazine’s Stitch-Off Competition in the Fashion category, as well as the People’s Choice Award. She has had numerous articles published in Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine and published her first machine embroidery book, Sweet Stitches, with them. She sells her own original embroidery design files and projects online through Oregon Patch Works. Jo loves the creative challenge of combining cutting-edge technology with traditional needle arts.
