Jeffree Wyn Itrich began writing as a child when she found a book given to her mother at a young age that she had filled with writings and ink drawings. Her mother’s poetry inspired her to write and write she did, filling countless journals with stories and essays. In school, an English teacher recognized her ability and urged her to follow her literary dreams. Her first book, The Art of Accompaniment, was published by NorthPoint Press in 1987. Though a career in communications led her to primarily write about medical therapies, she never lost her passion for writing fiction.
