Roberta Horton

Roberta began her sewing career at the age of ten when she learned to make clothes for her dolls. She continued her study of textiles through her B.S. degree in Home Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. After five years of public high school teaching, Roberta retired and began her second career as a quiltmaker. Combining her love of fabric with her love of teaching, Roberta taught the first state-accredited class in quiltmaking in California in 1973.
