For the most part, you don't need anything more than basic quilting supplies and a pile of scraps to get started making these little landscapes. I would suggest watching the videos to see which technique you wish to explore and then assemble the supplies needed. Notice that I do not list amounts of fabric required since each person's quilt will be different. Within each lesson, I do give guidelines on fabric sizes to start with.

Basic supplies needed:

• Fabric scraps. A pile of 5" charm squares is a good way to get started.
• Sewing machine and neutral color thread
• Rotary cutter, mat, and rulers
• Scissors, seam ripper, pins
• Iron and ironing mat
• Sashing fabric to set the blocks together into the finished piece.

Additional supplies needed for Prepared Edge Appliqué lesson:

• Freezer paper
• Starch, Best Press, or Magic Quilting and Crafting Spray
• Small bowl to hold starch
• Craft paint brush

Additional supply needed for Fusible or Raw Edge Appliqué lesson:

• Double sided fusible such as Heat & Bond, Wonder Under, or Steam-A-Seam

Additional supply needed for Foundation Pieced Blocks:

• Muslin squares cut to the unfinished size of your blocks
