Supplies:

Fabric & Batting

• 1⁄2 yard muslin or PFD (white or light solid)
• 3 fat quarters (light, medium, dark)
• (2) 12”× 10” muslin/PFD – practice
• (2) 8”× 14” muslin/PFD – inside layer
• (1) 12”× 10” low-loft batting
• (2) 81⁄2”× 13” low-loft batting
• (2) 43⁄4”× 61⁄2” light fabric – center
• (4) 13⁄4”× 61⁄2” medium fabric – borders
• (4) 71⁄4”× 31⁄2” dark fabric – borders
• (2) 8”× 14” backing fabric
• Fabric scraps for appliqué

Thread

• Practice threads (Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Green)
• Light, Medium & Dark of one color
• Project thread (black or color of choice)
• 8 bobbins pre-wound with thread used above
• Piecing thread
• Extra fun colors

Notions & Tools

• Sewing machine & free-motion foot
• Extension table (or stack books or something around your machine so your fabric doesnot drag.)
• Needles size 90/14 + extras
• Safety pins (5–10)
• Straight pins
• Tweezers
• Fabric scissors
• Quilter’s gloves
• Uni-ball waterproof pen

Adhesives & Stabilizers

• Water-soluble stabilizer (I prefer Sulky Solvy Water Soluble stabilizer because it is clear.If you find one that is water soluble and clear that should work just as well)
• Cut-away stabilizer (if precut please get the 10” x 12”... normally for 5”x7” machineembroidery hoops. I prefer getting mine off of Amazon called World Weidner)
• Steam-A-Seam 2 (or whatever fusible you have. I just prefer Steam-A-Seam)
• Point turner (could be a chopstick.)
