Fabric Collage Fun: Backyard Birds with Lisa Thorpe

I’m Lisa Thorpe, mixed media fiber artist and teacher. I have created a new class for
Creative Spark that combines some of my favorite things: birds, fabric, collage and
stitch. Welcome to Fabric Collage Fun: Backyard Bird Edition!
In this class I show you how to find a public domain image of your favorite bird, how to
manipulate that image in an app, and how to print it to use in your fabric art. I go into
elements and principles of design that you’ll use to create a one-of-a-kind fabric collage.
Once you try out these techniques, you’ll be able to use them with all kinds of subject
matter. Scroll through your phone, find images of things you love, and make a fabric
collage using the skills you gather in the class.
