Quilting is a very interesting hobby, I would call it more of an art! After all, the quilts that we make are more than just for our beds.

There's no other hobby where we would take something perfectly good, like fabric, and cut it up just to sew it together again - but this is what makes quilting so fascinating. Each quilt is so individual and so unique. We can spend many hours on one quilt making an heirloom to pass down to generations. This is definitely a labor of love.

We also can just have fun and make simpler quilts to enjoy the process and the creativity. I do love the heirloom quilts but I also love the everyday fun quilts. And I love the challenge of finding an easier way or a different way to put together these fun, everyday quilts.

I think the quilting process should be fun and not stressful, we have enough stress in our lives that we shouldn't stress about our hobby. After all, the word hobby should say it all. It is a hobby…something that we enjoy. Yes there are many times that it will feel stressful but we need to turn that stress into fun.
