The Ugly Bug Ball

I created this tangled web and smattering of creepy spiders and flying bugs, for my latest book, Creative Embroidery, Mixing the Old with the New. If you know my work, then you know that I love to include spiders and webs, buttons, embellishments and more into my work!
I had so much fun using sewing notions, beads, and buttons, that I thought it would be a fun class to teach. The Ugly Bug Ball, features six designs each for spiderwebs, spiders, and more of your favorite creepy crawling garden dwellers.
I started with several of the stitches that are included in my book, Creative Embroidery Mixing the Old with the New and then expanded on these to bring a host of creative webs, spiders and
bugs to life.
The class features 24 different embroidery motifs that are worked with threads and
embellishments including perle cotton, seed beads, sequins, buttons, and other sewing notions
you might have lying around the house.
Throughout the class, I show you examples of how I used the stitch designs in my work. I
provide basic instructions in the Ugly Bug Ball class downloadable handout to re-create four of
the Stash Projects shown. The class also includes the Creative Embroidery Mixing the Old with the New eBook.
What better venue than the Creative Spark platform, where the classes are presented in video
format. You can view each lesson at your own pace, and the class never expires. What’s more,
is the student can see everything up close and personal, in the comfort of your own home,
