Mouse's Summer Adventures
Posted by Deirdre Quirk on Aug 31st 2015
Introducing...Mouse! Mouse is the charming, lovable star of Brenna Maloney's This Is Mouse. In her FunStitch Studio book, Brenna guides kids through making Mouse. Mouse then goes on a journey to Africa, to the South Pole, and all the way to outer space, and along the way Brenna includes easy, kid-friendly instructions to sew (and make) all of Mouse's friends and accessories.
Of course, Mouse is so cute and charming that even the fully grown adults in our office couldn't resist making (several) versions of him, and taking him on their own adventures! Below, you'll see that Mouse started off his journey this summer by touring the C&T offices...
From left to right: Mouse in our warehouse, Mouse surveying the office from his perch on the cubicle of editor Lynn Koolish, and Mouse admiring the quilt in our entryway.
After that, Mouse traveled to Sisters, Oregon, to attend the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show...
Clockwise from upper left: Mouse gets ready to go to Sisters, Mouse arrives and admires the quilts, Mouse in the Stitchin' Post, Mouse bids on a postcard
Upper row: Mouse helps out in class. Bottom row: Mouse meets two of his biggest heroes, Alex Anderson and Angela Walters!
And finally, at the end of the summer, Mouse and all his friends threw a luau on our publisher's desk to welcome her back from her tropical vacation!
We hope all of you also had excellent summer vacations! And if you or any of the kids in your life took Mouse on adventures this summer, please share with us in the comments. We'd love to see (and hear about) your travels with Mouse!
