Useful reference book
Quilted feathers have been around for a long time and although you may not think of them as a modern pattern, this book sets out to show you how they can be. By adding different elements, such as extra curls, creating unusual shapes and incorporating patterns such as pebbles into the mix, the feather design takes on a very different look. The book is jam-packed with photos, outline drawings and information on how to achieve a good result. There is also a helpful section at the beginning on technical matters such as threads, batting, and machine settings, and the author passes on lots of tips she has learned through her experience. This is a useful reference book for anyone wanting to progress with their quilting and give their quilts extra impact.
