Sarah Maxwell and Dolores Smith opened Homestead Hearth quilt shop in 2002 in the town of Mexico, Missouri. Their original pattern line debuted in 2009, and their designs appear regularly in McCall’s Quilting and McCall’s Quick Quilts as well as other quilting publications. They’ve designed patterns and have authored several books for Kansas City Star Quilts. They also design fabric for Marcus Fabrics.
