Jo Morton was introduced to quilting in 1979 and hasn't put down her needle since. She began teaching quiltmaking in 1982 and in 1985 started to create small quilts with the charm of antiques, or "new quilts that look old."
Jo has sold her small quilts since 1988 and has traveled east to exhibit at juried folk-art shows in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New England. She has made commissioned and custom-framed small quilts. Jo's quilts have been listed in the Early American Life Directory of American Traditional Crafts from 1990 to 2002.
Jo's quilts have been featured in American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Early American Life, Miniature Quilts, Ladies Circle Patchwork Quilts, and Country Business. She also creates fabric lines for Andover Fabrics.
