Joyful Daily Stitching
From Joyful Daily Stitching, Seam by Seam
Weekly or Monthly Stitching Class
Class Description:
In this class you would work your way through all of the 500 stitch combinations that are in the book, Joyful Daily Stitching. This class could meet as often as you would like it too and is a great way to start a beginning crazy quilt class. In the first class session, they would learn how to piece crazy quilt blocks and after that they would be doing hand work.
Class Length:
2 hours per week or month
Class Supply List:
- Required Text: Joyful Daily Stitching Seam by Seam by Valerie Bothell
- ½ yard of muslin
- 6 fat quarters of Robert Kauffman Kona Cotton Solids
- Purple air erase pen for marking the stitches
- 6’’ clear ruler for marking stitches
- Scissors for fabric

Classroom Preparation:
Several ironing stations are needed for the first class. The students will also need to bring their sewing machines to just the first class.
The teacher should create a few sample blocks in different colors and styles of fabric so the students can see the different color choices available. The blocks are done with cotton solids so that the beauty of their stitching will be what they see!
Class Agenda:
The time in the first class would be spent learning how to piece a crazy quilt block. The rest of the classes will be spent working through the crazy quilt stitch combinations in the book, Joyful Daily Stitching Seam by Seam. This class could meet weekly or monthly for as long as it takes to work through the book. This brings them into your store on a regular basis!
