Emily Breclaw is a quilt designer with a background totally unrelated to anything quilty. She holds a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and an MS in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences. She taught teachers how to use the outdoors as a classroom until the birth of her first child. She then started her pattern company, The Caffeinated Quilter, to help quilters expand their skills and discover the addicting fun of hexagon quilt patterns.
Emily's designs have been featured in Stitch, Quiltmaker, and American Quilter magazines. You can follow along with her madcap quilting adventures (and misadventures) at thecaffeinatedquilter.com.
When she's not creating in her studio, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors with her five kids, catching up with friends over coffee, and playing board games with her husband.
