Dale Fleming enjoys teaching and loves to see quilters discover new ways to quilt and expand their vision. She believes she learns as much from her students as they do from her. Her quilts have been shown in both regional shows and larger venues, including the Pacific International Quilt Show, Houston International Quilt Show, Quilt National, and Visions. Although her quilts appear to have many styles, all explore the same ideas: the interplay of movement, light, and color. She is most interested in how each element interacts with and draws from others and yet retains its individuality.
When Dale is not quilting, she can be found in her garden, creating combinations of form and color with flowers, which then appear in her quilts. Her other passion is cooking, and many people will testify that she makes killer chocolate truffles.
Dale lives in Walnut Creek, California, with her husband, Jerry, who is very supportive of her artistic endeavors. They have two children, Emily and Nicholas. You can see Dale's quilts at www.dalefleming.com
