Catherine Wilcox Skow is a fourth-generation Arizonan and very proud of her family's part in the state's history. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in consumer sciences. She and her husband, Doug, have two college-aged children, Michael and LeeAnn. Their home is tucked in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains in northeast Tucson. The view from her sewing room includes hummers, squirrels, quail, coyotes, and the occasional bobcat. Though quilting takes up most of Cathy's time, she loves entertaining her friends and family at her home. She also enjoys gardening, baking, and riding on the back of her husband's Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Her motto for life is “Choose joy!”
