Use Your Scraps in Wall Quilts!
Posted by Deirdre Quirk on Jul 19th 2017
One of the best things about Make Wall Quilts, one of the newest books in our popular Make series, is the wide variety of styles! From modern to traditional, improv to appliqué, there's something for everyone.
Because I'm partial to scraps, I thought I'd share with you my favorite scrappy quilts from the book (plus some that could easily be adapted to use scraps).
These super-scrappy, rainbow beauties are both from designer Emily Cier. What gorgeous combinations of bright, bold patterns and colors!
I don't usually think of using scraps in appliqué, but Becky Goldsmith and Kim Schaefer are opening my mind to the possibilities. Both of these quilts call for scraps for the animal appliqués.
This sweet, traditional quilt from Camille Roskelley can also be made using fat quarters or other precuts.
Okay, I know this one is made using solids, but wouldn't it look stunning in patterned scraps? You see it, right?
