Spring Has Sprung! Floral Quilts
Posted by Deirdre Quirk on Mar 30th 2016
I'm not sure what it's like in other parts of the country, but here in California spring is officially here! The grass is green, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and best of all, the flowers are blooming. No matter what the view outside your window is like, we could all use some floral inspiration to brighten our day, so here's a roundup of some of our favorite floral books!
Baltimore Album of Roses by Rita Verroca is full of stunners like this one above. Not everyone has the patience for Baltimore Album quilts, but wow, are the results well worth it!
Ribbonwork Flowers by Christen Brown will teach you how to create a whole garden's worth of ribbon flowers. Seriously, there's over 130 flowers, petals, and leaves in here!
Playful Petals by Corey Yoder has spring written all over it. These modern appliqué quilts will add a touch of sunshine to any home–or use them as picnic blankets!
Wild Blooms & Colorful Creatures by Wendy Williams is chockfull of the wild blooms of the title–all done in wool appliqué, as seen on the tote bag above.
Bonus! The Rose Star Quilt Pattern by Marci Baker is releasing this month–just in time for spring!
