Hey! It’s Amanda Niederhauser and my latest book, More Playful Precut Quilts, just released this week!
I am a Southern California girl who loves quilting and cats! They just go so well together! In fact, my kitty, Mufasa, has inspected every quilt in this book!
More Playful Precut Quilts has 15 brand new quilt projects that are sure to inspire you. Each project is made with 12” square quilt blocks. Which means you can interchange the blocks with the different quilt designs if you like.
The styles and themes of the quilts cover all seasons and styles. From strawberries to cats, from Summer to Christmas, there is sure to be a quilt in here you just have to make!
One of my favorite quilts is the Strawberry Farm quilt. I have wanted to make a strawberry quilt for years and I could never decide on just the right pattern. This pattern is super easy because you use 2 ½” precut strips and you piece the berries in an ombre design. And of course the green pinwheel chain design just makes it feel so summery!
Another of my favorites is Sweater Weather. I love the idea of an understated fall quilt. The colors in this quilt are dusty mauve and purple with gold and olive green. So yummy! This pattern is also fun in bright colors, patriotic colors or try it in a holiday color palate!
I love that More Playful Precut Quilts coordinates with my first book, Playful Precut Quilts, in that the 12” blocks are interchangeable between the books!
