Kraft-tex Napkin Rings

Using kraft-tex for napkin rings is a great alternative to paper because of its durability. Unlike paper, it doesn’t easily tear or warp by moisture. These rings are also great because they store flat in an envelope, taking minimum storage space. Keep them simple in decoration or go all out and decorate them with paint, pens or glitter. When purchasing kraft-tex for this project, one roll of your favorite color (we used Denim) will make plenty of rings with scraps for another project. You could also make a variety of colors with a sampler pack. You should get 2-3 rings out of a 8½ x 11 sheet from the sampler pack.

Materials needed:

1 roll of kraft-tex

Scissors

Gold paint (for deer antlers)

Cotton or mini pompom (for bunny tail)

Other pens and paint you may want to use.

Directions:

Print out napkin template
Cut out template
Trace on to kraft-tex with pencil or chalk pencil
Cut out napkin ring from kraft-tex including slits
Paint antlers or embellish
Assemble by sliding sides together at the slits

Slide your favorite napkin through your new napkin rings. We made two types of napkins from Tantalizing Table Toppers by Judy Gauthier, a simple mitered luncheon and a two-sided 20” napkin.
