You'll love the free download we have for you today: these charts will tell you at a glance how many equilateral triangles, hexagons, 60° diamonds, or 45° diamonds of whatever size you desire you can get from any length of yardage! So let's say you have 1 1/4" yards of your favorite fabric, and you want to make a quilt with 2" hexagons. Look at the hexagon chart, and you see that you 1 1/4" yards will give you 88 2" hexies. Now you know whether you'll need to buy more fabric, rework the size of your quilt, or make different size hexagons. How easy is that?
