C&T Reimagined
Jun 13th 2022
We are thrilled to announce a rebrand! The rebrand elevates our focus on providing top-notch craft books and products for makers of all skill levels, crafts, and backgrounds to create something beautiful.
C&T Publishing was founded in 1983 and quickly became a well-known and loved quilt book publisher. Over recent years, C&T has evolved with our customers' needs and passions, to provide creative books, products, and online courses to all different types of makers. We hope to represent a broader range of communities where we can amplify our goal to teach, inspire and share the beauty of everyday life through creative expression.
Expanding into other creative subjects from cosplay to jewelry-making to watercolor and beyond – there is a C&T book and product for every maker. The rebranding marks a new C&T, both inside the company and out, with a strategy focused on our audience of crafters and our robust and inspirational offerings.
The new visual identity more accurately represents the variety of useful and beautiful books and products offered, the good that C&T is committed to doing for the world by supporting sustainable practices and social justice, and encourages consumers to make something beautiful.
Earthy shades of blue and green and our new logo make up a new visual identity, reflecting our commitment to support sustainable practices, represent and celebrate diverse crafts, and welcome crafters on a global scale.
C&T's new tagline, "Another Maker Inspired!" reflects a creative community where everyone is welcome. C&T seeks to inspire creativity while amplifying compelling stories, techniques, and artistry from makers of all backgrounds.
"I am incredibly proud of the great work our team has accomplished as we launch our new branding initiative. The original C&T logo was a classic design that fits our publishing program in 1989. Our new logo better reflects our robust publishing program, who we are as an organization, and our goal to create thoughtful and compelling products. In collaboration with our amazing authors, we endeavor to inspire makers worldwide through our books, products, online courses, and events," says CEO Todd Hensley.
"Rebranding a company that is nearly 40 is daunting. We wanted to stay true to our roots and continue to grow and explore exciting new crafts. At C&T we bring our community the joy of the meditative process of making guided by experts. Helping them create something beautiful from wonderful materials, working with their hands. They get a sense of pleasure, wellness, and a hit of serotonin that makes them feel great. At the end of the day I want our makers to feel a sense of satisfaction, Yes, you made that! Using our curated and beautifully illustrated books and products," says Amy Barrett-Daffin, C&T’s Publisher.
C&T’s transformation is driven by core values of inclusion and innovation, with a reimagined strategy to make all who create, teach, and explore, another maker inspired.
