Cotton & Wool Together

For those of you who have never worked with felted wool, I think you’re going to be in for a real treat with Wild Wool & Colorful Cotton Quilts. I have found that the combination of working with wool and cotton together is the best of both worlds. You have the ease of using wool for the more difficult shapes (no turning under) and using cotton prints for the easier shapes for variety.
My black and white drawings show the original center block drawing for each quilt. As you can see, I made quite a few changes as I went along. Sometimes the borders evolve as I go and other times, they’re planned out in advance.
My finished product doesn’t necessarily end up exactly like I visualized it when I was designing the original drawing. I encourage you to feel free to play around with different colors and borders to make these quilts your own.
