Cosplay for You Book Tour

My name is Sanit Klamchanuan. I have been designing and making cosplay since 2013.

The main purpose of my book (Cosplay for You) is to inspire and encourage people to just start creating and to design and come up with their own costume ideas. I want to inspire people to choose a concept that they are interested in and passionate about, or something from their own culture.

That was how Spicythaidesign came about. It allowed me to explore my Thai culture and share it with the world. On top of being able to share my creations, sharing my Thai culture made me stand out from the crowd.

In this book, I will be taking you through my thought process regarding costume designs as well as some tips and tricks that I would often use when making costumes. Below is a quote (by me) from my book, Cosplay for You, that gives you a better look at what it has to offer:

"My hope for this book is to inspire you to explore the artistic side of costume making and to keep you from getting stuck making the same cosplay everyone else is making. I will show you how you can add a bit of yourself to your project and create something that is special to you. Adding your favourite colour, an element from your culture, or really anything that makes the costumes and props your own will let you stand out in the crowd and, most importantly, have fun. I enjoy putting my own twist on costumes. That can be a whole new redesign, small changes to a costume to make it more wearable, or a bit of detail incorporated into a costume to add some Thai flavour. My early years and my experiences growing up shaped how I approach my costumes. What I am about to show you is the way I like to design and make my costumes. My process works for me. Please do give it a go, but I encourage you to find your own way."
