Arnold the Hand Model

As employees in a small company, many of us get to participate in a variety of ways to create great books. And we always try to make it fun. When we photograph the how-to shots for our books, if the author is not available, we try to use hand models that closely resemble the author’s hands.
John Kubiniec’s A New Spin on Drunkard’s Path is full of designs using fun and easy variations on this classic block. And since John lives across the country from us, we solicited the help of our always-friendly warehouseman, Arnold. We already knew he was a careful forklift driver, extremely quick at packaging orders, and has the precision printing skills of an architect, so now he can add “hand model” to his resume. Here’s Diane getting in close for the perfect shot.
