Rulerwork Quilting Idea Book
Posted by Amanda Murphy on Mar 15th 2018
Hey everyone! My name is Amanda Murphy, and I'm an author with C&T Publishing, a BERNINA Quilting and Longarm Spokesperson, and a teacher. I also design fabric for Contempo of Benartex, embroidery patterns and quilting collections for OESD. Some of you may know me from one of my previous books, like Modern Holiday or the Free-Motion Quilting Idea Book. C&T invited me back here to tell you about my brand-new book shipping this month—the Rulerwork Quilting Idea Book!
We have had such fantastic feedback with the advent of the Free-Motion Quilting Idea Book, we thought we'd do another volume. This one is focused on (drumroll please...) RULERS!
Where to start? I designed the type of rulerwork book that I'd like to keep by my machine, and it is chock full of ideas. Want to know what you can do with a simple straight-line ruler?
Or maybe with a set of circles?
Each section of the book concentrates on a different basic ruler shape. And there are step-outs of each design so you can figure out how to execute them on your quilt top.
There are even free-motion filler ideas for each design!
When I teach, I always encounter people who have collected rulers but aren't really confident with how to use them in their work. They just need a quick, handy reference guide of possibilities. This book addresses that need.
I am SO excited to introduce the Rulerwork Quilting Idea Book to the world and hope that you love it! For more quilting ideas join me in the Facebook group Quilting with Amanda Murphy and on my blog.
Thanks for your support and happy quilting!
Amanda
